Caramel color have a long history existence in the foods-making for more than 1 century. Based on centuries of usage, it is nearly the most world-widely used food coloring. It is typically used in but not limited to the below foods like varies kinds of beverages, beer, wine, bakery, cake, chocolate, biscuits, rum, whiskey, candy with chocolate flavored, fillings and toppings for bakery, confectionery, ice cream, sea foods, sauces(soy sauce, fish sauce, oyster sauce etc.), cola, vinegar, and so on......... 

For applications, there are different applications preference in different countries. Also it should be used based on limitations and regulations from different countries and places.
